My topics

Together. Liveable. Shaping. – The priorities I will fight for on the municipal council.

Susanne Steffgen at a bus stop in Ganderkesee
  1. Inclusive participation

Everyone belongs – with rights, respect and opportunity. Tear down barriers and promote participation for every generation. For a Ganderkesee where nobody is left standing outside the door.

  2. Barrier-free and affordable housing

Create homes that fit us – affordable and accessible to all. Build and renovate for barrier-free access, promote intergenerational living and put vacant space to good use.

  3. Good mobility

Improve connections, shorten journeys – convenient, safe and climate-friendly. Reliable public transport, safe cycling and walking routes, and good access in every district.

  4. Strong education

Best chances from the start: well-equipped daycare centres and schools, fair access for every child and young person. Education that genuinely eases family life.

  5. Climate responsibility

Protect our nature, conserve resources – for a future worth living. Save energy, protect green spaces and adapt to heat and heavy rain.

  6. Fair work

Promote good work, strengthen the local economy – respectfully and with an eye on the future. Local trades, businesses and apprenticeships deserve reliable conditions.

  7. A lively community centre

A place of encounter, togetherness and ideas for our municipality. Strengthen clubs, culture and volunteering – keep rooms open and accessible.

  8. Ganderpass – social participation

A social pass modelled on the Oldenburg Pass: reductions for sport, culture, public transport and municipal facilities – so nobody stays outside because of the entry fee.

  9. Older people

An active life in later years, protection from loneliness, barrier-free meeting places and a good mix of generations. Those who built this community should stay at its heart.

  10. Health and care

Local medical care, good nursing and support for family carers – in every district. Short journeys and real relief, not just a pat on the shoulder.
